Required

Glove

Synthetic gloves may work best for younger players as they are easier to open and close. As the player moves up in age, one may consider buying a more expensive leather glove

Cleats

Softball cleats rubber or hard plastic no metal cleats. Soccer cleats may also be used.

Batting Helmet

All batters must wear a softball helmet with a face guard. Helmets must be NOCSAE certified.

Bat

Make sure you have a softball bat not a baseball / teeball bat.

Your bat should be certified with one of these stamps

Fielding Mask

A fielding mask is highly recommended for players but not required.

Batting Gloves

Helps improve grip on bat, reduce vibration felt on hand, and can help prevent blisters.

Provide added protection and comfort during slides or impacts on the field
